WARNING: This should only be used in the event the flash memory on the remote is full due to a system file download not finishing using wifi, or a corrupt file on the XP8. It should not be used for any other purpose and it will not correct any other issues or used as a general diagnosis tool. Future system file downloads should be done using the USB cable only with wireless remotes.

 

To use this file with a remote control:

- Double click on the flash reset program

- The screen will say “plug the usb cable in before hitting next” > what it should say is “put the remote in update mode”So, to put the remote in “update mode”

 

- Turn off remote

- Plug in usb cable

- Hold in the Ok or select button on the remote (skip this step for the T4),

- Turn power on remote and hold button for 10-15 seconds (for the T4, just turn it on with the USB connected and wait 10-15 seconds)

- Click Next on the flash reset program

 

To use this file with an XP8:

- Unplug usb and power from the xp8

- Double click on the flash reset program

>> The wizard will say “plug the usb cable in before hitting next” > what it should say is “put the XP8 in update mode” So, to put the XP8 in “update mode”

- Plug in usb cable

- Plug in the power and wait for 10-15 seconds (the xp8 will just have the RTI logo on the screen)

- Click Next on the flash reset program and let it run (should take a few minutes).

- Reload your system file.

 

 

Once it is finished you will need to reload your system file.
